Cham Cham : Samurai Shodown II

Cham Cham is a character who was introduced in SNK’s fighting game Samurai Shodown II. Cham Cham is the younger sister of Tam Tam. She lost the Tangil stone (a relic of her village) when she borrowed it to play with. To find the stone, she sets out with her pet monkey ¨Paku Paku” (who is actually Tam Tam).

Inspiration

H-chan had been cosplaying the original Cham-Cham for years and I really liked how cute the character was. How can anyone pass up a jungle kitty girl! She suggested I do the alternate color version of blue and white as a companion to hers.

Creation

I purchased black and blue punky wig. I made a matching pair of ears and sewed them into place. Using medium pile white faux fur, I made all of the costume freehand, drawing on all of the stripes with permanent marker. Blue spandex ties adorn the paws and tail. Claws were made from paperclay, painted with matching blue glitter paint and sealed. Paku Paku monkey was purchased and pinned on.
